About Corinne...
Growing up surrounded by fine art, antiques and books and a French family, photography was a natural ongoing interest for Corinne since doing black and white photography at High School in Balmain.
From the minute her daughter was born over five years ago she knew that family portraiture would be her entry point to her own business.
Working from home for over two years Corinne finally took the plunge and opened her Bowral studio above "The Countryman" in Februrary 2008, on the corner of Bong Bong and Boolwey and she is now flat out with commissions ranging from family heirloom coffee table books, babies first year programs and product photography for local businesses.
"For me, family is everything...I have built my business around my family aswell as made family portraiture my main focus. I am absolutely thrilled to be living my long-time dream....to wake up in the morning knowing that I am going to work doing something I love!"
Maternity, Newborns and Children of all ages. “I love families and watching them grow over the years has been one of the great things about my work. I especially love watching newborns during their first year on this earth.”
Being part of a photo session with Corinne is more like chatting with a friend. “Clients often comment that being photographed was easier than they expected”. When she photographs children, Corinne cleverly finds a way to capture special moments between the fun and commotion of busy little feet. “I take my time with every session…there is never a rush to get to the next appointment and children respond to that, they relax and get into it in their own time…and then they shine!”
As well as family portraiture Corinne can produce images for your business, including product shots for web and print (both in studio or on your showroom floor), corporate head shots and architectural images for Real Estates and location imagery. Re-touching and various graphic design services are available as well.
Corinne has been recently involved in a new Southern Highlands Magazine entitled Snapshot, where her images are featured on the covers and main feature articles. She also writes a the Digital Darkroom column.

The Portrait Session
Your session fee is payable upon booking to secure your session time. It is non-refundable if cancellations are made inside two days of your photo session, except in the case of emergency or illness. Please understand that you have reserved a session time that could have otherwise been available to someone else.
Your portrait session can be at my studio, in your home or on location. For children's sessions, try your best to have your children clean and fed before the session. If possible give your newborn 1/2 a feed prior to the session time, then you can settle them once the session commences with the other 1/2 of their feed.. and have a towel and wipes close by. Bring along snacks and any favourite toys for your older children. Please keep ‘spectator’ adults to a minimum as too many ‘directions’ can confuse children.
Clothing
Plain clothing , without logos or bold patterns look best. Bright, colourful clothing looks great on kids. Group shots look great when all members are similarly dressed e.g. red and blue, beige and brown. Bare skin is best for newborn black and white images. Of-course if you have a particular idea in mind, you can wear whatever you want!!
An unlimited number of photos will be taken and there will be time allowed for feedings, changes and cuddles. I welcome your ideas and full involvement in the session if you wish. These are YOUR photos, lets make them memorable!
The Viewing Session
Up to 2 weeks after your session you will be able to view your images in a private, password protected online gallery. This gallery will be online for 14 days during which you can become aquainted with your proofs and family and friends can order online. You will then be invited back to the studio for a viewing and ordering session.
Ordering
You can order over the phone, by email or in person at the studio, or directly via your online gallery.
Print orders take approximately 2-3 weeks. Other products such as coffee table books and other custom created gifts will take longer.
Terms
Unauthorised duplication of images created by Corinne Dany is strictly prohibited. Corinne Dany reserves the right to alter, publish and print images created by her, for purposes of promoting the studio and her services. If you wish to not be included in promotional material please advise her.
All prices are subject to change at any time. Should prices increase after booking your photo session, you will be charged the prices that were in effect at the time you scheduled your session.
I can accept cash or money order, visa & mastercard and direct deposit.
Referrals
Referrals are of-course greatly appreciated. For every friend or family member you refer, who becomes a customer, you will receive a complimentary 5”x7” print of your choice from any previous session.
