I have always admired illuminated manuscripts and medieval art and while painting this piece I imagined the times when books were made by hand... one by one!

This print is from my series of hybrid watercolour paintings called 'Floriana'. The watercolors were photographed with fresh flowers, artistically arranged in a collage style technique.

The flowers were from mum and dad's garden and once the arrangement was done, I needed to take the photo asap before any thing (or my dog's tail) brushed past to wreck havoc. Once the shot is taken... that's it! They are so much fun to create!
