Molhare and Madeleine was originally painted in acrylic and constructed with vintage odds and ends by Southern Highlands artist Corinne Dany. 

'I made this miniature stage for my 2019 exhibition April Hares (Less Mad Than March Hares). Inspired by my sister's love of French theatre and all things Moliere, I had to create Molhare with his partner in crime Madeleine. I found a basic square shelf unit and attached the brass cabriole legs I found at our local Highlands markets. I then added a relief pediment to the top with paper mâché and brass ornaments. Mum sewed my curtains from vintage fabric and I installed some fairy lights.'
