Seven Seasons: A Journey Home
We are seven women who have come together to share the diverse landscapes of our current lives. While our hands work with different materials - from the tactile grit of clay and the fluid motion of paint to the rhythmic precision of stitching - our hearts are tracing a remarkably similar map.
This exhibition is not merely a collection of art; it is a collective snapshot of a “becoming”. For many of us, this season is defined by a shift in perspective. We are moving from the “multiple hats” and the busy roles of daughter, mother, and caretaker toward a singular, luminous focus on our truest selves.
In these works, you will find a shared devotion to the present moment. Some of us are navigating the beautiful chaos of young families, finding quiet meditation in the flow of paint. Others are savouring a hard-won “sweet spot” of stillness, using this time to finally ascend the peaks of long-held dreams.
We are exploring what it means to look deeply at the world - whether that is the familiar beauty of our local highlands, the stories collected on a long train journey, or the silent intuitive conversation between an artist and her materials.
Common threads bind these seven distinct narratives:
A Return to Self
A transition from being defined by others to rediscovering our own voices
The Beauty of Process
A move away from digital noise and external competition toward the grounding, physical act of creation
Presence and Observance
A commitment to “showing up fully, whether in the quiet of a studio or the motion of a journey.
We invite you to wander through these seasons with us. May you find reflections of your own journey in our stories, and may these works remind you that every season - whether sleep, stormy, chaotic, or calm - is a vital part of the path home to oneself.
