Yuin Giants by Natalie Will
Acrylic on Canvas
520mm x 420mm
Pine floating frame
$500
Yuin Giants is a contemporary landscape inspired by the view from Sunrise Point Lookout at Bundanoon. ‘Yuin’ is a collective term referring to various traditional indigenous groups between the Nowra and Victorian border. The view looks directly east towards Nowra, the landscape is vast with mountains on either side standing like giants overlooking the valley. My signature style is to use a broad spectrum of colours blending reality with dreamscape so that the viewer is able to make a personal connection with the image. I like to encourage people to use my paintings as a way to connect themselves with a memory, place or time so they can reflect upon their own stories.
